Friday and Saturday Workshops on the benefits of journal writing as well as writing prompts, and experiential exercises
We enjoyed a fun and relaxing workshop with Mikaela Wilson from Natura Soap Company (Corner Brook). She explained the benefits of bath salts, herbs and essential oils, and we got to make our own.
Participants had the opportunity to learn the basics of setting a up a journal writing group, tips to facilitate as well as tools and exercises to get started.
We were fortunate to have Sonya Lake of Gros Morne yoga lead us in a couple of yoga sessions.
We had an unforgettable sharing circle with Elder Calvin White. We talked about the importance of knowing who we are, protecting Mother Earth, moving forward together and recording our story. "Take only what you need."
Jessica Galliott of Northern Foodcraft led us in an Edible Plant Hike on the community trail in Woody Point: identifying local plants and their uses, as well as providing us with yummy samples.
Miranda Reid graced our space with her spectacular seascapes and other prints. A few of us have a bit more beauty in our homes now.
Please sign up and let us know if you would like to join us next time.
